Alicante has more than 35 bus lines connecting the city centre with the neighbourhoods and sounding towns; plus a circular line connecting several peripheric neighbourhoods. The single trip fare is 1.50\u20ac and travel cards are available for budget fares. The payment methods are cash, credit cards, the travelcards or the app. Transfer to other bus lines or Tram services is free on transfers shorter than 1h.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 4 main ways to pay for the bus in Alicante: by card, by cash, by the app or by travel card. A single trip fare is 1.50\u20ac if paid with a credit card or cash, but it is much cheaper with a travel card: 10 trips cost 5.40\u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When paying by cash, the bus driver gives change of up to 10\u20ac, so bring notes of 10\u20ac or less and coins.<\/strong> You can still pay with a 20\u20ac note but the driver will give you a voucher to exchange for money at the bus offices here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The single ticket costs 1.50\u20ac<\/strong> when paying by cash, card or the app. With a travel card each trip costs much less (10 trips for 5.40\u20ac). The same fare applies on the red city buses, the blue buses to neighbouring towns and TRAM zone A<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
