class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are 4 different ways to go from Alicante to Benidorm: TRAM train, coach\/bus, taxi or ride app (Uber, Bolt or Cabify), or private car. Let&#8217;s explore the details for each of them and find out what is the most convenient for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"alicante-benidorm-tram\">Alicante &#8211; Benidorm by TRAM Train<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicante&#8217;s TRAM is a mix of underground\/metro, overground tram and light train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TRAM Line from <strong>Alicante to Benidorm is TRAM Line 1<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/transport\/alicante-tram-prices-timetables-routes\/#alicante-to-benidorm-and-campello-timetable-line-1-and-line-2\">Check the timetable from Alicante to Benidorm in this other article.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TRAM from Alicante to Benidorm crosses 2 fare zones (A and B). <strong>A single ticket costs 2.90\u20ac.<\/strong> That is the fare since 1 October 2026. The trip takes about 1h15 because the train stops at every station on the way. It is a 6 min walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/train-station-to-luceros-1024x598.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3857\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Walk from Alicante Train Station to Luceros TRAM station<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicante to Benidorm <strong>TRAM pros<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is the cheapest option (2.90\u20ac, or less per trip with <a href=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/transport\/alicante-tram-prices-timetables-routes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tram travel cards<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The trip is very scenic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/transport\/alicante-tram-prices-timetables-routes\/\">Alicante TRAM has a strict schedule<\/a> and it is punctual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The TRAM stations are very central: Luceros, Mercado and 5 min away from the <a href=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/transport\/all-about-alicante-train-station\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">train station<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicante to Benidorm <strong>TRAM cons<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is slow as it has to get\/drop off passengers at many stops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"alicante-benidorm-coach\">Alicante to Benidorm by Coach\/Bus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/transport\/alicante-bus-station\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alicante City has a coach station<\/a> that services coaches to Benidorm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It doesn&#8217;t take a long time to get to Benidorm by coach, just slightly more time than by car: just below 50 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The coach company offering Alicante-Benidorm is Alsa.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tickets can be bought online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alsa.es\/\">alsa.es<\/a> or in the machines at the coach station. <strong>A single ticket costs 6.55\u20ac.<\/strong> That is the Alsa fare in October 2026. There is also an <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.mo2o.alsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alsa app for Android<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/alsa-buy-coach-tickets\/id444511709\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note that only a very few buses start at Alicante and end at Benidorm but the Alicante-Benidorm bus route is part of a longer trip. For example, many buses go from Alicante to Denia, or Malaga to Barcelona, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So be aware of not missing your Benidorm stop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alsa runs coaches from Alicante to Benidorm throughout the day, from early morning to late evening. Check the current times on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alsa.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alsa.es<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicante&#8217;s coach station is in between the cargo harbour and the marina, downhill <em>Avenida Oscar Espla<\/em>. While the TRAM trains are virtually <em>always<\/em> on time the Alicante to Benidorm bus might be delayed every now and then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicante to Benidorm Coach\/Bus <strong>pros<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is as fast as a car. The trip takes less than 50 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is good value for money: a single ticket costs 6.55\u20ac.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alicante to Benidorm Coach\/Bus <strong>cons<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The buses tend to be not as punctual as the trains as most are already on the route and might accumulate delays<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The coach station is a bit far from the city centre. 13 min away walking from the train station, 16 min walk from the TRAM station<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"alicante-benidorm-taxi-cabify\">Alicante to Benidorm by Taxi, Uber, Bolt or Cabify<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uber, Bolt and Cabify all work in Alicante. Taxis can be hailed on the street, booked by phone, ordered through Uber, Bolt or Cabify, or booked with the PideTaxi app. We compare them all in a separate guide: <a href=\"https:\/\/alicanteabout.com\/transport\/alicante-uber\/\">Uber, Bolt, Cabify and taxis in Alicante<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The traditional taxis are white in Alicante. Have some linear stickers and wear the distinctive occupied\/empty green light on the roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taxis charge the official fare. When we checked the Uber app on 27 September 2026, a ride from Benidorm to Alicante started at 53.93\u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, taxi companies are different in both Alicante and Benidorm. If you use the app PideTaxi, this will be transparent for you. PideTaxi will choose the taxi company for you.
