There’s no single best way to get from Alicante Airport to where you’re staying. Where you’re going, how many of you there are, how much luggage you carry and what time you land matter more than any general recommendation. This guide compares the three main options (the C6 bus, a taxi from the rank and a pre-booked private transfer) with real 2026 prices, so you can pick the right one for your trip.

The short answer
- Alicante city, travelling light: take the C6 bus. It costs €4.70 per person and runs day and night. Bundle cards available. More about the C6 here.
- Alicante city, two to four people with luggage: take a taxi from the stop; about €30 for the car.
- Benidorm, Altea, Calpe and Guardamar: a pre-booked transfer usually costs less than a taxi, even by day, and the price is fixed before you fly.
- Torrevieja: by day the taxi is a little cheaper (about €72 against €81); at night, on Sundays and on public holidays the taxi rises to about €83 and private transfer is cheaper.

Transfer prices are Welcome Pickups quotes for a car with two passengers and two suitcases, midday on a weekday in October 2026. A standard car takes up to three passengers; four or more need a minivan, which costs more. The price for your date and time can differ: you see it before you pay, and it’s fixed once you book.
Taxi prices are our estimates: taxis from the airport run on the meter with the official 2026 tariff of the Valencian Community government (€2.25 plus €1.46 per km by day; €2.80 plus €1.68 per km at night, on Sundays and on public holidays), plus a €4.25 airport supplement. We checked them against the airport prices a local taxi company publishes (Alicante €32, Benidorm €90, Torrevieja €72, Calpe €115). Traffic and the exact address change the final fare.

When a pre-booked transfer is worth it
- You’re going to Benidorm, Altea, Calpe or Guardamar. The transfer is usually cheaper than a taxi, and the price is settled before you fly.
- You land at night, on a Sunday or on a public holiday. Taxis switch to their higher tariff; a transfer’s price is fixed when you book, so there are no surprises on arrival.
- You’re travelling with small children. You can request child seats when you book (for an extra charge); taxis don’t always have them.
- You’re a group. Minivans and larger vehicles can be booked in advance, so you don’t need two taxis.
- You want someone waiting for you. The driver tracks your flight and meets you in arrivals.
When it isn’t

- Two to four of you are going to the city. A taxi costs about €30; the transfer costs €44.
- You’re going to Torrevieja by day. The taxi is a little cheaper.
- You might cancel at the last minute. Cancellations less than 24 hours before pickup aren’t refunded (see below). A taxi from the rank needs no booking at all.
What a pre-booked transfer includes
Based on Welcome Pickups’ conditions:
- Meet and greet: the driver meets you in the arrivals hall. The exact meeting point is in your booking confirmation.
- 60 minutes of free waiting at the airport, and flight tracking: if your flight is late and you gave your flight number, the waiting time starts when you land.
- A fixed price for the car, paid online in euros when you book, taxes included.
- Free changes of date and time.
- Cancellation: up to 24 hours before pickup, you get 100% back as a credit for another transfer, or 80% back to your card. Less than 24 hours before, there’s no refund.
- Child seats on request for an extra charge.
